The challenge
Insulation failure in cold storage is a refrigeration problem, not just a thermal one
Water ingress into cold room insulation increases the thermal load on the refrigeration plant, raises running costs, and can cause structural deterioration of the panel system over time. The insulation core must be continuous, properly vapour-sealed at all joints and capable of withstanding the thermal cycling that comes with defrost cycles and temperature swings.
Getting material quality and cutting precision right from the outset avoids the retrofit cost of replacing failed panels mid-life.
Our approach
High-performance cores, cut to panel tolerance
We supply rigid polyurethane foam and EPS board for cold room panels in densities and thicknesses matched to the operating temperature of the store. CNC-profiled to panel dimensions with consistent density throughout — no voids, no variations in the thermal resistance of the core.
For pipe insulation on refrigerant lines, evaporator headers and chiller connections within the cold store, AeroWrap® NBR elastomeric foam provides the vapour-sealed flexible insulation that rigid foam sections can’t achieve at fittings and short runs.

Flexible pipe insulation for refrigerant and chilled water lines inside the cold store. Rated to -40°C with inherent vapour barrier.
