HVAC & Refrigeration Insulation
Condensation control, thermal efficiency and fire compliance — the three requirements every HVAC and refrigeration specification has to meet. We supply the right insulation for each service, cut to the dimensions on your drawings.
The challenge
HVAC insulation that has to work in every condition
Chilled water pipes below ambient temperature will condense moisture on any surface that isn’t properly insulated. That condensation corrodes cladding, damages ceilings, encourages mould and, over time, degrades the insulation itself. Preventing it requires a vapour-sealed system with no thermal bridges.
On the hot side, ductwork and supply air systems need insulation that holds its R-value over time, resists compression under cladding and meets the fire classification required by the mechanical specification. Getting the product wrong adds cost and callbacks at commissioning.
Our approach
The right product for each service — from a single supplier
For chilled water and refrigerant lines, AeroWrap® NBR elastomeric foam provides inherent vapour control and a continuous barrier that resists condensation without additional vapour wrapping. For large-bore chilled water mains and process cooling lines where rigid insulation is preferred, CNC-profiled rigid PU sections are the right call.
For ductwork and hot services, PIR/PIC board and pipe section offers enhanced fire performance at equivalent thermal resistance. All products are CNC-profiled to your pipe OD, wall thickness and section length — ready to install off the delivery truck.
Recommended products
Products specified in HVAC & refrigeration
AeroWrap® NBR
Chilled water, refrigerant, plumbing
Flexible elastomeric pipe tube and sheet with inherent vapour barrier. -40°C to +105°C. Installs without additional vapour wrap.
Polyurethane Foam (PU)
Large-bore chilled water mains, ductwork
CNC-profiled rigid pipe sections and board. Outstanding thermal value at low section thickness. Custom OD and wall thickness available.
PIR/PIC
Fire-rated mechanical services
Where the mechanical spec requires enhanced fire performance. Same thermal value as PU with significantly better fire classification.
