Polyisocyanurate (PIR/PIC)
Superior fire resistance and thermal performance. PIR/PIC is the specification upgrade from standard PU — same CNC precision, better fire rating, higher service temperature.
About the product
When your specification demands fire compliance without compromising thermal performance
Polyisocyanurate (PIR) and polyisocyanate (PIC) foams are chemically modified variants of standard PU that achieve significantly improved fire performance. Where fire safety standards require a lower flame spread index or reduced smoke density, PIR/PIC is the appropriate specification.
The thermal performance advantage over PU is also measurable — lambda values are comparable or better, while the higher service temperature extends the application range into process pipework and elevated-temperature HVAC systems.

Applications
Where PIR/PIC is specified
HVAC & Mechanical Services
Pipe sections and duct board for mechanical services in buildings where fire safety standards require enhanced flame spread compliance.
Process Pipework
Higher service temperature rating makes PIR suitable for process lines running at temperatures that exceed standard PU’s continuous service limit.
Commercial Construction
Roofing, walling and underfloor insulation systems in commercial buildings specifying a higher fire class than EPS or standard PU can achieve.
