Marine & Offshore Insulation
Insulation for vessel pipework, engine rooms and marine mechanical systems must contend with vibration, humidity, salt air and confined installation spaces. We supply the materials and CNC precision that marine specifications demand.
The challenge
The marine environment demands insulation that holds up where standard building products fail
Salt air, condensation, vibration and confined installation spaces make marine insulation more demanding than a standard industrial application. Products must be dimensionally stable under vibration, resistant to moisture absorption, and light enough not to affect vessel trim. Installation access on vessels is often difficult — precision pre-cutting at the factory saves significant installation time and cost on-board.
Fire classification is also non-negotiable on vessels — marine specifications typically require specific flame spread and smoke density ratings that not all foam materials can achieve.
Our approach
Pre-cut to drawing — minimising on-vessel installation time
We CNC-profile rigid PU and PIR pipe sections to the exact OD, wall thickness and length from your drawings. This means each piece is a precision fit when it arrives at the vessel — no site trimming, no waste, and significantly faster installation in confined engine room and bilge spaces.
AeroWrap® NBR elastomeric foam handles flexible requirements: chilled water lines, fuel service pipes and any run where rigid sections can’t accommodate vibration or movement. Its closed-cell structure resists moisture ingress in the high-humidity marine environment.
Recommended products
Products specified in marine applications
Polyurethane Foam (PU)
Vessel pipework, engine room insulation
CNC-profiled pipe sections for cold and hot services. Closed-cell, moisture-resistant and lightweight — precision pre-cut to your vessel drawings.
PIR/PIC
Fire-rated marine mechanical spaces
Where marine specifications require enhanced flame spread and smoke density ratings. Better fire performance than standard PU at the same thermal resistance.
AeroWrap® NBR
Flexible pipe runs, chilled and fuel lines
Flexible elastomeric foam for pipe runs requiring vibration tolerance. Inherent vapour barrier — ideal in the high-humidity marine environment.
